Alexander
W. Salay,President,
Blessed
Man Ministries
It has been my special privilege to know Al Salay since 1964. Beyond
my own father, no man has had a greater influence on my life.
We met one another because of our interest in the dismal direction
our country had taken and a mutual desire to arrest that slide.
In fact, Al encouraged me to run for the New York State Senate.
He then took on the thankless and tireless task of managing my campaign.
We became fast friends, and our families frequently visited, even
vacationing together. At that time we only occasionally attended
church, but neither of us had a relationship with Jesus Christ.
He and his wife Helen were later led to a church where Jesus was
worshipped as Lord. We finally accepted their offer to visit the
church. We stayed. I walked the aisle to recommit my life to Christ.
Al and I were baptized on the same evening, he standing in line
just before me.
Later Helen shared that she felt I was to study for the ministry.
Without going into the account, I ultimately did so, and Al and
Helen were of enormous assistance in helping us through school.
As a politician, businessman, pastor, author and whatever else,
I have known many people. Al Salay is one of the wisest men I have
met, and his wife has one of the most acute and sensitive spirits.
In his quiet way, he has steered me around many hazards and has
often helped me climb to new spiritual heights.
When Al was led of the Lord to establish www.blessedman.org to
offer wisdom and counsel to those hungering and thirsting after
righteousness, I couldnt have been more thrilled.
Im not sure that Al needs a lot of money to carry out the
work that the Lord has given him, but I do know that he cant
have too much prayer support.
